Developed by Cutera, a global leader of dermatology and aesthetics devices, Laser Genesis uses a 1064nm laser wavelength to heat the skin. When the skin reaches the desired temperature the gentle heating stimulates neocollagenesis, causing the skin to rebuild and remodel collagen. At this temperature, the skin will cause the microvasculature network (tiny blood vessels) in the dermis (the layer of skin below the outer-layer) to coagulate (clot) or collapse. This process decreases redness, dilated capillaries and inflammation while stimulating collagen to treat fine lines and wrinkles.

Laser genesis is suited for those wanting to treat fine lines, wrinkles, scarring, pigmentation, diffused redness, acne and rosacea.

This treatment is not recommended for those who are pregnant and some darker skin types.

This treatment is generally comfortable with most clients finding themselves drifting off to sleep. We liken the sensation to warm rain drops on the skin. While rare, some may experience brief moments of intense heat, which swiftly dissipates.

No pre-care is required for Laser Genesis. You should avoid direct sunlight for 24 hours post-treatment and ensure broad spectrum UVA/UVB sunscreen is worn.

Minimal downtime. Following the treatment some clients may experience flushing, but rest assured, it clears quickly. Some clients also experience dryness for 3 to 4 days post-treatment, this can be managed with extra topical hydration.

This will depend on the condition of your skin and the desired result, we generally recommend 4 to 6 sessions at 2 to 4 week intervals to achieve optimal results. Following this, we may transition to a maintenance plan to maintain and sustain long-lasting benefits.

HUB Skin Wellness Pilates requires a minimum of 48 hours’ notice when cancelling or rescheduling an appointment. All appointments require a card to be held on file, and for treatments valued $100 and over, we require a $50 non-refundable deposit.

If you reschedule or cancel with more than 48 hours’ notice, and your treatment is valued $100 and over, your $50 non-refundable deposit can be applied when securing your next appointment or used as a credit to purchase product from HUB Skin.
If you reschedule or cancel your appointment within the 48-hour window, or fail to attend your appointment, your card on file will be charged 50% of your total treatment fee. This is applicable to all appointments, regardless of the treatment value.

Please note if you fail to attend an appointment on two or more occasions without notice, we will require the full treatment amount to be paid at the time of booking for any future appointments.
